ABOUT THE COACH
25 years coaching experience. 12
years dedicated to girl's fast pitch!
Coach Norm is the father
of 5 children- 4 of them GIRLS! So he knows how to get his lessons
across in a manner that is suitable for young ladies and college
bound players. His children
range in age from 23 down to 4 years old. Each of the 4 oldest children
have played or are still playing fastpitch softball and baseball.
His two oldest daughters played for the Deland Little League & PAL,
Port Orange Blazers, Ormond Beach Stars, Deland Sharks, South
Daytona Cyclones, Little Lady Wildcats, Falcons, and the Ormond
Beach Lady Renegades. His son Cody played
baseball in the Deland Little League organization.
Having been a skilled
ball player himself, Coach Norm found out early on that he had a
knack for coaching kids. He started coaching and was Umpire in Chief
for West Volusia Little League at 20 years old, and in
his first season coaching he took his Major South West Volusia
Little League team to an undefeated season, breaking all of the
standing home-run records!
